Emergency relief supplies from President Prabowo Subianto reached earthquake-affected areas in East Nusa Tenggara on Sunday, delivering essential support to communities struggling in the aftermath of the disaster.
Military aircraft transported 1,725 basic food packages to Maumere in Sikka District, marking the latest phase of the government's emergency response effort. The aid was divided between two affected districts, with Sikka receiving 1,000 packages and Ende allocated 725 packages.

Previous Deliveries and Distribution
The Maumere delivery follows a Saturday airlift that saw two Hercules aircraft, A-1343 and A-1318, transport 3,200 packages to Labuan Bajo. Those supplies were distributed across five additional affected districts: West Manggarai, Manggarai, East Manggarai, Ngada, and Nagekeo.
The combined deliveries bring the initial shipment total to 4,925 packages, representing the first wave of a larger presidential commitment. President Prabowo has pledged to provide 50,000 basic food packages for the earthquake response, with the remaining 45,075 packages scheduled for staged delivery based on operational requirements in affected areas.
Coordination and Response Efforts
The National Disaster Management Agency continues to coordinate the relief effort alongside local governments, the Indonesian Defense Forces, and other relevant agencies. Distribution chains are being managed according to ongoing assessments in each district to ensure aid reaches intended recipients efficiently.
The coordinated approach aims to maintain effectiveness throughout the initial response phase as authorities work to address the immediate needs of displaced and affected populations across the earthquake zone.
